Non-chronological reports

Today in English, year 4 and 5 have been creating posters to explain the ingredients of a good non-chronological report. We loved using the new felt-tips!

Our trip to Blists Hill

Well yesterday Maple and Oak class had a brilliant day! We had so much fun going to the Victorian Bank to collect out pennies and spend them in the sweet shop and bakery . We also met a policeman and his dog who kept us all in line. There was even a Victorian roller called Billy being driven around. We found the photography studio very interesting and were surprised at how expensive photographs were in those days! Also, we had a session in a Victorian schoolroom and felt lucky that our lessons are not in the Victorian style now! Our favourite part has to be our visit to the fairground and brick-making workshop where we made our very own bricks with our names on! The children were told that they were superstars! What a fabulous day we had!
